New Show: Eva Moon's Deal With It Cabaret

Eva Moon has created a hilarious new musical journey from hot dates to hot flashes, filled with original songs, wry musings, outrageous revelations and ultimately, sweet revenge. Read about it...

Biography

Eva Moon hails from Seattle, and her songs hit your ears like a double shot of espresso. Far from your typical singer-songwriter fare, they’re ironic, energetic commentaries on modern life: inbox spam (Cash from Nigeria), beating stress (Run Away with Me), torrid passion (Monsoon), sex changes (Switcheroo) and that cute young dude in tight brown shorts (UPS Guy).

Eva’s musical background is equally eclectic. Originally from L.A., she’s new to the pop scene, but spent her childhood playing Eastern European Gypsy music with Balkanarama, a hot party band in Seattle, and other groups on both coasts. She once spent a month on tour in Eastern Europe with a Hungarian band.

Eva is equally at home opening for mainstream acts or appearing on a more offbeat bill. Her unique material complements other performers, and her ironic bemusement provides a welcome break from typical singer-songwriter angst. She’s flexible, professional and obsessively on time.

Ferko Saxmanov plays sax, flute and hand percussion. He is classically trained, but “that and three bucks will buy you a double tall mocha latte.” He performs with Balkanarama and occasionally sits in with Seattle diva Mary Sherhart's Balkan Cabaret.

Dave Quick has two things in common with many of the great guitarists of the twentieth century; he has four fingers and an opposable thumb on each hand. After more than three decades of experience Dave has developed the uncanny ability to make himself sound better with each beer the audience consumes.

Sue Niemann, ex-ballerina and two-time Washington State baton champion, knows a bit about twirling things. But don't encourage her to play with fire, and do not call her a bun head. She was a multi-instrumentalist with the late Seattle band, The Cociks, and performs with Balkanarama.
